Our Goal is Thinking Biblically
The mission of Thinking Well Podcast is to glorify God by engaging life's hardest questions with clarity and conviction. Each episode explores current events, Christian apologetics, church doctrine, even personal testimonies, all while remaining anchored in Scripture and being shaped by a biblical worldview. Whether you're a believer seeking to grow, a truth seeker wrestling with doubt, or a skeptic willing to listen, Thinking Well exists to equip, challenge, and point every listener to the saving hope found in Jesus Christ alone.

The Thinking Well Journey
Thinking Well Podcast launched on April 24th, 2023, with Tom Plemmons and Kyle Reeves of Lake Worth Baptist Church at the helm. Over the course of two years, the two led each episode with a shared purpose: to strengthen the faith of believers and to invite unbelievers to seriously consider the claims of Christ. Throughout that time, they sat down with pastors, church members, and special guests who shared their testimonies of faith and offered thoughtful perspectives on apologetics, doctrine, and current events. In 2025, however, the podcast entered a year-long hiatus as Tom and Kyle turned their focus toward other areas of ministry within the church.
In the spring of 2026, Lake Worth Baptist Church relaunched its publications ministry under a new name, "Hammer and Quill Publications." Around the same time, ministry intern Nick Dykan brought a proposal to Kyle, Tom, and the pastors of LWBC (Zac Hatton and Dan Coffman) to revive Thinking Well in time to coincide with the "Hammer and Quill" unveiling. After several months of preparation, Thinking Well made its return in March of 2026, with Kyle Reeves back as host and Nick Dykan stepping in alongside him as co-host.
Since reuniting, Kyle and Nick have carried on the podcast's original mission: pointing unbelievers toward Christ while encouraging and equipping the Christian believer. At its core, Thinking Well remains as a podcast that challenges its listeners to think biblically and to discover how God's Word speaks with clarity and relevance to the world we live in today.

Senior Host | Kyle Reeves
Kyle Reeves, senior host of the Thinking Well Podcast, was born in 1995 and came to faith in Christ at the age of nine, placing his trust in Him as Lord and Savior before being baptized at Victory Baptist Church in Casa Grande, Arizona. In 2004, Kyle and his family relocated to the DFW area, where he soon joined Lake Worth Baptist Church alongside his parents, a church he has now called home for over two decades.
In his years at LWBC, Kyle has served faithfully in a number of capacities: as a drummer on the Lake Worth Worship Team, as a member of the church's security team, and most recently, in answering God's call to preach. Kyle has been married to his wife, Haley, since September 2020, and together they are raising three daughters: Addison, Amelia, and April.

Junior Host | Nick Dykan
Nick Dykan, junior host of the Thinking Well Podcast, was born in 1999 and came to faith in Christ at the age of twelve, being baptized shortly after and joining Lake Worth Baptist Church, a church he has now called home for nearly fifteen years.
Over the course of his time at LWBC, Nick has invested himself in a wide range of ministries. He played a key role in building the church's media team, served behind the scenes in support of Lake Worth Worship, and since 2018, has devoted himself to taking part in the church's youth department as one of the youth ministers. In 2019, Nick surrendered to the call to preach, and has since been pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Bible Specialization at Veritas Baptist College. In November of 2021, Nick married his wife, Krystal, and the two have continued to serve the Lord faithfully together ever since.
On this episode, Kyle and Tom sit down with Pastor Zac Hatton and Deacon Andrew Coats to discuss the use of alcohol and tobacco as Christians. Should we indulge? If not, why not? Is either a sin by definition?
We round out the episode with a discussion on Christians and the owning of firearms - where you will find some heavy support, both from a biblical and an individual perspective.
Hammer and Quill Publications
